DIRECTION
Mick Wong leads Visual Direction at Sports Ground, shaping how sport is captured and experienced through film and image. A director, writer, and producer, his work spans commercials, branded content, and documentary across four continents. With a background in Sports Science, he brings a performance-led perspective to storytelling - combining physical precision with emotional depth. His work includes campaigns for ASICS, Volkswagen, IKEA and Discovery, alongside independently produced documentary projects. At Sports Ground, he sets the visual language of the studio - defining the craft, image, and execution of its work globally.
CREATIVE & CULTURE
Scott McClelland leads Creative & Culture at Sports Ground, working at the intersection of sport, culture, and community. His work is driven by a belief in sport as a cultural force - capable of connecting people and ideas across borders.
ELITE SPORT
John Quinn is our High Performance Sporting Partner. He is three-time Olympic coach with four decades on the frontline of elite sport. Forged in athletics — where there’s nowhere to hide and no margin for error — he has stood on the sidelines of defining moments in Australian sport, from the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games alongside Cathy Freeman to Premiership triumphs with Essendon in the AFL and Penrith’s back-to-back NRL titles. At Paris 2024 he was appointed to the IOC Refugee Team (Afghanistan) where he entered the Olympic Stadium in their national tracksuit — a quiet symbol of trust, stewardship, and sport at its most human. Awarded the Australian Sports Medal (2022), his lived experience gives our storytelling weight, credibility, and consequence.
